Bartlett is close to Memphis and the love of BBQ is strong. At the end of September, the city hosts the Bartlett Festival, BBQ Contest and Car Show. There’s carnival games and a whole variety of local art and goods for purchase. Not to mention the BBQ contest is famous for the tight competition.
For a trip into the past, stop by the Bartlett Museum in the Nicholas Gotten House on Court Street. Included on the National Register of Historical Places, the museum holds a collection of photographs, artifacts and other documents preserving the rich history of Bartlett.
